Protein Biochemistry/Molecular Biology Research Associate
This is a full-time position in research and development with flexible hours (days, evenings or weekends) near the OSU and Ohio University campuses.
Candidates at all levels (bachelors, masters, Ph.D.) will be considered, but experience in protein biochemistry, protein conjugation or DNA technology is required. Additional expertise in genetic engineering, PCR and assay development is highly desirable.

Cell Biology Laboratory Assistant
The Cell Biology Laboratory Assistant position will provide a unique opportunity for a student to gain exposure to applied science—a melding of science and innovation. In this role, the student will receive extensive training and practical work experience in the field of molecular biology and cell culture. The student also will be exposed to higher order training related to synthetic biology, DNA analysis, polymerase chain reaction processes and product development techniques.
Specific tasks for this position will include:
- Assisting in performing detailed laboratory processes, including sterilization and equipment maintenance and calibration
- Following detailed laboratory procedures in making solutions and performing instrument-related testing
- Assisting in DNA analysis, including polymerase chain reaction processes, and cell culturing
- Interacting with team members, management and customers
Minimum Qualifications:
Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in biological sciences, chemistry, or similar field (Majors requested – Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or
Microbiology)
- Working knowledge of biochemistry and molecular biology
- Ability to follow detailed procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and a willingness to work in a collaborative environment
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative on projects without direct oversight
