The Students for Law, Justice & Culture, with support from the Center for Law, Justice & Culture and the LGBT Center, are curating an Anniversary Exhibition on Feb. 27 through March 1 in the Trisolini Gallery (Baker fourth floor).
The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
A Closing Reception at the Trisolini Gallery is Thursday, March 1, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The exhibition commemorates the Feb. 1, 2017, demonstration that resulted in the arrests of 70 students and community members in Baker Center. It provides a space for those affected by the Travel Ban, the Bobcat 70 arrests, and the subsequent discussions on campus protest to speak about their experiences and share their creative and academic endeavors on these topics. The exhibition featurea art, academic work, multimedia projects, and artifacts from the demonstration created or provided by those affected by the events.
Students for Law Justice & Culture is a student organization in the Center for Law, Justice & Culture that focuses on issues related to law, politics, and society. They are led by President and Vice President, Jessica Roth and Francisco Cintron, and are working to create discussion around the impacts of the Travel Ban, the Bobcat 70 arrests, and the Freedom of Speech Interim Policy on the Ohio University campus.
