Abstract: In this work, we deal with the investigation of weak-injectivity profile. We consider two possibilities, the weak-injectivity domains may be considered to be consisting of only finitely generated modules or of modules in general. In the first
case, the profile gauges the extent of weak-injectivity of all modules, while in the second case it serves as an alternative way to gauge their injectivity. Domains of weak injectivity behave differently than domains of injectivity; in particular, they
are not necessarily closed under finite direct sums. Emphasis is placed on a possible notion in this context that is analog to that
of a poor module. The first difficulty one encounters is that the intersection of all domains of weak-injectivity is not necessarily equal to the class of semisimple modules. So the domain of weak-injectivity of a (so-called) strongly poor module
would depend for its characterization on the ring in question.
