Dr. Adam “Adi” King gave a scintillating talk on how he incorporates the German graphic novel into his International Literatures in Modern Languages class during a Modern Languages Colloquium on Nov. 6.
His presentation highlighted recent research done on this genre that is becoming one of the most popular forms of literature in the 21st century.
King, Associate Lecturer in Modern Languages, coordinates first- and second-year German courses at Ohio University.
King highlighted how his students completed the complex preparatory steps toward their own creative writing projects, which reflected the style, symbolism and thematic structures they had previously studied in various German graphic novels in translation.
