Dr. Ashwini Ganeshan, Assistant Professor of Spanish in Modern Languages, was awarded the Humanities Research Fund award from the College of Arts & Sciences Professional Development Committee on Oct. 19.
Ganeshan will use the funding to present at the Hispanic Linguistics Symposium in Lubbock Texas, October 26-28, 2017.
The College of Arts & Sciences Humanities Research Fund was established from private gifts and royalty funds to support the careers of faculty members in the humanities. The fund is designed to support the research endeavors of Group I faculty members in the humanities departments (Classics, English, History, Linguistics, Modern Languages, Philosophy) and those doing humanities-based research in social science departments (African American Studies, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology & Anthropology, and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies) in the College of Arts & Sciences.
