My name is Rachel Weber and I am the 2017-2018 College of Arts & Sciences eNews editor!
I am a senior from the West side of Cincinnati. I am a Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies major with a minor in English. In addition to working for the College of Arts & Sciences, I am also a peer mentor in the Office for Multicultural Student Access and Retention, as well as the Vice President of Black Sheep Improv.
After I graduate, I’d like to move to either New York City or Chicago for a few years because I hate driving and I want to be near lots and lots of really great theater, comedy, and food—my true passions. As for how I’ll earn the means to enjoy said passions, I’m still figuring that out.
My favorite place in Athens is the maze of trails up by the Ridges, especially during the fall when they’re filled with deer and groundhogs. On campus, I love to read in the pod chairs on the fourth floor of Alden or eat lunch in front of Ellis Hall, where I can see plenty of birds and squirrels hard at work. No matter where I am, though, OHIO feels like home and I’m excited to make my last year count.
