The George Washington Forum presents Dr. Paul Cantor discussing “Shakespeare, Rome and the American Republic” on Monday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Alden Library 311j (Friends of the Library Room).
Cantor is the Clifton Waller Barrett Professor of English at the University of Virginia. He earned a B.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
He is the author of seven books on subjects ranging from Shakespeare, Romanticism, Austrian economics and pop culture. His most recent book is Shakespeare’s Roman Trilogy: The Twilight of the Ancient World (Chicago, 2017).
