Today at the garden I began with flattening out a tilled strip of soil. Myself and workmate Jules laid a black piece of plastic with pre-made holes onto the soil and used staples to secure the plastic overlay in place so they the wind could not blow it out of place. Jules and I continued to plant summer squash, zucchini, dill and parsley, filling every other hole. Jules and I then moved to cleaning and preparing onions that were pulled a few weeks prior and were drying in the high tunnel. I ended my day weeding out student plots in the circle garden.
