The Psychology Colloquium series presents Dr. Ruchika Prakash on “Positive Neuropsychology: Lessons from a Decade of Empirical Investigation on Improving Cognitive Health” on Friday, April 7, at 11:50 a.m. in Porter 102.
Prakash is Associate Professor at Ohio State University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical/Community Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. She received the “Rising Star Designation” given by the Association for Psychological Science in 2013 and an early career award in 2016 by Division 20 of the American Psychological Association.
Prakash’s research interests broadly focus on understanding neuroplasticity in the context of healthy aging and neurological disorders, specifically multiple sclerosis, and applying the knowledge gained through research in basic sciences to design interventions that tap into such neuroplasticity.
