Columbus 2020, an economic development organization of which Ohio University is a member, is looking for a paid, summer Marketing and Events Intern.

The Marketing and Events Intern supports the Columbus 2020 marketing and communications team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in updates to marketing materials and website.
- Catalog and organize brand assets from clients and partners.
- Scan news coverage and maintain testimonial library.
- Proofread a variety of marketing and communications pieces.
- Maintain marketing budget sheet, scan and file invoices.
- Organize and inventory printed materials and promotional items.
- Create table tents, name badges and prepare other event-related items.
- Assist with meeting and event preparation, and provide on-site event support.
- Assist with coordination of event volunteers.
- Manage meeting and event registrations.
- Create event webpages.
- Perform data entry into CRM and email systems; add/remove contacts and e-blast campaign subscriptions.
- Prepare content for e-blasts.
- Provide administrative support to managing director as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Quick learner of new skills and programs
- Ability to multitask short- and long-term projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong writing and proofreading ability
- Eye for graphic design
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) preferred and/or willingness to learn and self-teach
- Collaborative attitude, can-do spirit, interest in current events and a love of the Columbus Region
