We’ve reached the end of spring semester and another academic year. But what about summer? While it’s good to take a vacation and get some much needed sun after confining yourself to Alden, you should also utilize the warmer months to maximize your potential.
- Take classes to catch up on credit hours, requisites, or to help with graduating early. There are many online options if you won’t be staying in Athens.
- Job shadow a professional in the field(s) you’re interest.
- Work, volunteer, or complete an internship. Any type of experience in the field is invaluable.
- Use your spare time to clean up social media profiles and make them more professional.
- Go shopping for professional dress so you’re prepared for the career fair in the fall.
- Catch up with old friends. Keeping your connections open can help lead to job possibilities.
- Last but not least, travel, even if it’s just a few hours from home. Experiencing new places broadens your horizons, helps you find a new purpose, and allows you to learn more about the world.
