Dr. Kiss is the Director of the Center for Bioinformatics & Functional Genomics. Aside from his day job running Miami U’s genomics core, his main interests are adaptation and evolution. The projects he works on are related to understanding how changes at the molecular level influence the success of the entire organism. Projects include how higher vertebrates have become freeze tolerant, the stability of globular proteins, functional genomics of seasonal acclimations.
