Dr. Richard Vedder, Distinguished Professor of Economics Emeritus at Ohio University and Director of the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, penned a column headlined “B.Y.O.B.” in Forbes.
The heading on this blog is a bit deceptive: this is not about campus drinking. It is about B (Berkeley), Y (Yale), O (Oberlin), and B (Brown), and about campus silliness and intolerance. Education in America today begins in kindergarten with the “3 R’s: Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic and for most ends in college, unfortunately increasingly with the “3 I’s”: ignorance, intolerance, and idiocy….
