Students interested in careers in investment and portfolio management can learn more at information sessions for Ohio University’s Master of Financial Economics program.

  • Thursday, Feb. 2, 6 p.m., Bentley Annex 302

Registration is encouraged but not required; register at econmfe@ohio.edu.

At the information session, students will be able to talk with program faculty and current students and learn about job prospects in the field.

Earn a Master of Financial Economics & Study for CFA Credential

  • Economics, math, finance, accounting, business undergraduates encouraged to apply.
  • The success rate of MFE students on the Chartered Financial Analyst Level 1 examination is well above the national average.
  • Preparation for financial sector careers at mutual funds, brokerage firms, insurance companies, banks, and more.

The MFE program helps prepare you for a career in the investment world. It combines economics, finance and accounting by focusing on practical skills used by professionals in the financial sector.

The MFE is offered by the College of Arts & Sciences in partnership with the College of Business. The Master of Financial Economics program covers 70 percent of the Chartered Financial Analyst® candidate body of knowledge. The CFA designation has become the most respected and recognized investment credential worldwide.

Athens on-campus program—The application deadline for fall entry is March 1, 2017.
