The Nam News Network reports that a conference at Ohio University, co-sponsored by the Political Science Department, will feature Malaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Dec. 28 (NNN-Bernama) — Malaysia’s profile and role on the world stage will be highlighted at an international conference that will gather leading scholars from this country, Europe and North America, at Ohio University in March next year.
The conference titled “Malaysia and the World: Cross-Regional Perspectives on Race, Religion and Ethnic Identity” is organised by the Tun Abdul Razak Chair in collaboration with the Ohio University Office of Global Affairs and International Studies, and the Department of Political Science.
In a statement, current holder of Tun Abdul Razak Chair and Visiting Professor of Political Science Dr. Jayum Jawan said the event was scheduled for March 24 to 26 at the university’s Athens, Ohio, campus in the United States.
“The conference will feature speakers addressing four major themes, namely post-colonial legacies and its impact, majority-minority relations, electoral politics as well as Islam, the state and law,” he said. — NNN-BERNAMA
