Dr. Claudia Gonzalez-Vallejo, Associate Professor of Psychology at Ohio University, presented her research on decision difficulty in the Workshop of Management Science sponsored by the Department of Industrial Engineering, Universidad de Chile and the Institute of Complex Engineering Systems. The event took place in Puerto Varas, Chile, from Jan. 5-7, 2017.
Her presentation was on “Examining aspects of decision difficulty with dynamic, pre-decisional measures in various contexts: consumer, gamble, and intertemporal choices.”
The workshop brought together researchers interested in the broad topic of Management Science, including marketing, operations management, decision sciences and related fields.
Gonzalez-Vallejo is using temporal and spatial dynamic measures of pre-decision processes to better understand the basis of decision difficulty. This work is jointly carried out with her former student, Ohio University alum Dr. Jiuqing Cheng, now at the College of William and Mary.
