February is Food on Film Month! The Food Studies Theme and other co-sponsors are proud to bring three amazing films for free to the Athena Cinema.
The first film is Sustainable on Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Athena Cinema.
The showing is free and open to the public.
This film is “A vital investigation of the economic and environmental instability of America’s food system, from the agricultural issues we face — soil loss, water depletion, climate change, pesticide use — to the community of leaders who are determined to fix it. Sustainable is a film about the land, the people who work it and what must be done to sustain it for future generations.”
Co-sponsors are the Food Studies theme, the Common Experience Project on Sustainability, and Alden Library.
