The college will again be offering a promotion dossier workshop series for Arts & Sciences faculty at the end of spring semester. I’m sending this out now as an early announcement for the workshop dates; will send a follow-up note about the series after spring semester begins.
A&S Promotion Dossier Workshop Series
May 3-4, 2017
The College of Arts & Sciences is hosting a workshop series open to all Group I and Group II faculty who are preparing for the promotion and tenure process. The series includes separate sessions for Group I and Group II faculty to address dossier components specific to each faculty group.
- Workshops 1, 2, and 3 are offered for Group I faculty.
- Workshops 1, 3, and 4 are offered for Group II faculty.
Registration is required; register online.

Wednesday, May 3
noon-2 p.m. (Alden Library 301U) – this workshop includes lunch / Group I and Group II Faculty
- Workshop 1: Promotion/tenure dossier overview: Developing/fine-tuning your teaching statement; noon-2 p.m. (Alden Library 301U) This workshop includes lunch and if for Group I and Group II faculty.
- Workshop 2: Developing/fine-tuning your research statement; other dossier matters for Group I faculty, 2:30-3:30 p.m. (Wilson Hall 303).
Thursday, May 4
Workshop 3: Documenting your teaching effectiveness, 9-11 a.m. (Alden Library 301U). This workshop includes a light breakfast and is for Group I and Group II faculty.
Workshop 4: Documenting your professional development activities; other dossier matters for Group II faculty, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Wilson Hall 303).
