Abstract: So you have a Physics Degree… now what? What does research and development look like in Industry? What are similarities and differences between academia and industry? How do you even search for a job as a physicist? How does intellectual property work? What should you look for in a job and employer? These questions along with headache inducing questions such as: What is the difference between rapid innovation and innovation? What is the difference between ‘Why’ and ‘How’ something works? Additionally, I’ll discuss my own fledgling experiences and misadventures in industry and business ownership.
