Academic Advisor and Transfer Specialist
As we approach the half-way point in the semester, it is important to keep an eye on where you are in your classes. Typically by this time students know if they are struggling in a course or not.
If you do find that you are having some problems in a class, now is the time to reach out to your adviser. They can help with resources to assist you in being more successful, can suggest study skills and program changes, and can make suggestions on adding and dropping classes in order to set you up for success.
As a transfer student it can be difficult to ask for help. However, that is exactly what your adviser is here to do. Our goal is to ensure all students get the tools that they need to succeed.
Set up a meeting with a general adviser in Wilson Hall or your assigned faculty adviser if you are struggling. It is better to meet the issue head on now to keep further issues from occurring.
