As a part of the DIY Science Fiction Conference on Speculative Fiction Across the Liberal Arts, the Food Studies theme presents a talk by Dr. David Bell and Dr. Sabrina Curran on Friday, Oct. 28, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Baker Center Multipurpose Room.
Bell, of Linguistics, and Curran, of Sociology & Anthropology, will give a talk on “From Meal-Replacement Shakes To Human-Replacement Digital Companions: The Dystopic Individualization Of Soylent And Her.”
The event is free and open to the public and co-sponsored by the Fire to iPhone theme and the Food Studies theme.
