Law Professor Teaches Mock Law Class, Oct. 25

Interested in attending law school after graduation? Attend a law school class without leaving Athens or campus.

Professor Jeffrey Ferriell of Capital University Law School joins the Center for Law, Justice & Culture on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 5-6 p.m. in Bentley 140.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary, and all students are encouraged to attend.

Professor Jeffrey Ferriel

Ferriell teaches contracts, secured transactions, business bankruptcy, and consumer bankruptcy at Capital University Law School. Before coming to Capital, Ferriell was a Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University. He has been a Visiting Professor at Santa Clara, San Diego, Seattle University, and Ohio State, and a law teaching fellow at Illinois. His areas of research are contracts, bankruptcy, and the uniform commercial code. He is the co-author of two law school hornbooks: Understanding Contracts (second edition 2010) and Understanding Bankruptcy (second edition 2007, with Edward J. Janger). He serves as Ohio’s representative to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (or “Uniform Law Commission”). In 2016, he was named the Geraldine W. Howell Professor of Law at Capital.

Lisa Diem, Esq. the Director of the Paralegal Program at Capital University Law School and Judith M. McInturff, Esq., the Director of Continuing Legal Education at the Columbus Bar Association and will present on Capital University Law School’s post-baccalaureate certificate programs for non-lawyer professionals within the legal profession, including their Paralegal, Legal Nurse Consultant and Life Care Planner Programs.
