Author Sherrie Flick talks about “Stories, Whiskey, and Food” on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Galbreath Chapel.
Her talk is a part of the Food for Thought Speaker Series and is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by the Food Studies theme and Creative Writing in the English Department.
Flick is the author of the novel Reconsidering Happiness (2009) and most recently Whiskey, Etc. (2016), a collection of short stories. Her food writing is published in the Wall Street Journal, Ploughshares, Pittsburgh Quarterly and The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, as well as the anthology Fried Walleye and Cherry Pie: Midwestern Writers on Food. Flick also teaches in Chatham University’s MFA and Food Studies programs.
