Dynamical Systems Seminar presents Dr. Winfried Just, Professor of Mathematics, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 4:10p.m. in 127 Morton Hall.
He will discuss “Discrete Dynamical Systems: The Linear, the Nonlinear, and the Chaotic, Part II.”
Abstract: This is the second of several tutorial lectures intended to establish a common background for the participants of the seminar. It will build on Part I of this talk, but otherwise no prior background in dynamical systems is required. The talk will illustrate some concepts covered in Part I with simulations and will introduce additional basic notions, in particular, some formal definitions of chaos.
