Sept. 16-18 marks the 18th annual Ohio Paw Paw Festival, bringing speakers, music, and good food together out at Lake Snowden in Albany, OH.
The Food Studies theme is co-sponsoring two talks and two workshops with Community Food Initiatives throughout the weekend.
Saturday, Sept. 16
11:15 a.m. – Dr. Paul Patton of Sociology & Anthropology, “The Paw Paw and Other Native Foods in Southeastern Ohio.”
12:45 p.m. – Patton on ”Harvesting the Past, Feeding the Future” in the Ohio County Fair Tent.
2 p.m. – DIY seed cleaning workshop with Community Food Initiatives (sponsored by the Food Studies theme).
3:15 p.m. – Seed Swap with CFI.
