Ohio University alum Mistie Bibbee ’97, “a native of Little Hocking, Ohio, has been named the new director of housing and residence life at Marshall University,” the university announced.
Bibbee earned a B.A. in Sociology-Criminology from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University.
Bibbee comes to Marshall from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, where she has been director of residence life for the past three years.\
“We are looking forward to Mistie joining the Marshall University family,” Brandi Jacobs-Jones, senior vice president for operations and chief of staff, said in a release. “Her wealth of experience from these other universities will be a tremendous addition to our already strong Department of Housing and Residence Life.”
At Western Carolina, Bibbee has been responsible for the oversight and direction of a 4,050-bed residence life program with approximately 13 full-time employees, seven graduate staff and 107 student employees. Overall, she has more than 16 years of professional experience in university housing and residence life positions.
