Advising Tip | You Like Several Majors, Now What?

So you’ve taken my advice from last week, right? You’ve looked at the catalog to see all of your available major options here at Ohio University, and you’ve had lengthy, academic discussions with your family and grocery clerk. You may have even narrowed your major choices down to a small but overwhelming list.

Now what? Lucky for you, the Majors Fair is taking place next week on Sept. 14 from 11-3 in the Baker Center Ballroom. At the Majors Fair, college and department representatives from across the university will be available to answer all of your burning questions.

Don’t know what to ask? Consider these:

• How do I apply for the major (some majors are selective)?
• What are the classes like/what classes are required?
• Are there internship opportunities/requirements for the major?
• What do graduates in this major generally go on to do after graduation?
• Who can I contact with questions?
