The Food Studies theme is proud to present the new Food and Society Certificate undergraduate program.

The Food and Society Certificate represents a series of courses that challenges students to think critically about an aspect of their lives simultaneously deeply personal, public, and political. The certificate promotes an interdisciplinary understanding of how what’s on our plate affects us all. The required courses emphasize a holistic look at food by engaging both food culture and food systems.

The Food and Society Certificate program requires a minimum of 21 hours. This program includes foundation courses as well as courses on food production; policy, politics and regulation; electives, and a capstone experience.
