The Dynamical Systems Seminar presents Dr. Winfried Just, Professor of Mathematics, on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 4:10 p.m. in 127 Morton Hall.
Just will discuss “Discrete Dynamical Systems: The Linear, the Nonlinear, and the Chaotic, Part I”
Abstract: This is the first of several tutorial lectures intended to establish a common background for the participants of the seminar. The talk will cover a number of basic concepts in the study of deterministic discrete-time dynamical systems and illustrate them with examples, mainly from population dynamics. No prior background in dynamical systems is required.
