The Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics (INPP) presents Roxanne Springer, of Duke University, presenting “Looking for QCD in Pionless EFT,” on Tuesday, March. 15, at at 4 p.m. in Edwards Accelerator Lab, Roger W. Finlay Conference Room.
Abstract: Pionless Effective Field Theory is the most streamlined of the EFTs that contain the predictions of QCD, but at the price of being valid only at low energies. I will discuss a collection of observables, both strong and parity violating, designed to probe this region.
