The Ohio University Creative Writing program announces Writer in Residence and American essayist Steven Church, who reads from his work on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Hall Rotunda.
A reception follows the event, which is free and open to the public.
Church is the author of The Guinness Book of Me: a Memoir of Record, Theoretical Killings: Essays and Accidents, The Day After The Day After: My Atomic Angst, and his latest collection of essays, Ultrasonic. His work has been published in Brevity, Creative Nonfiction, River Teeth, Fourth Genre, AGNI, The Pinch, Salon.com, Colorado Review, The Rumpus, and elsewhere.
A founding editor and nonfiction editor for The Normal School, he teaches in the MFA Program at Fresno State University.
A fifth book of Church’s nonfiction, to be published by Dzanc Books, is expected later in 2016.
Hosted by the Creative Writing Program, the reading is also sponsored by Arts for Ohio.
