Knowing the Future Announces Spring 2016 Events

The Knowing the Future theme announces its Spring 2016 events.

Wednesday, Feb. 3, “Pay Your Workers to Quit?,” a TEDx Ohio University event, so-sponsored by the Fire to iPhone theme.

Wednesday Feb. 24, at 5 p.m., Dr. Glenn Dutcher (Ohio U. Department of Economics): “Don’t hate the player, hate the game. The causes and consequences of strategic lying and sabotage.” This will be an informal talk, to which all Ohio University faculty & students will be invited, and which will be geared toward KTF theme faculty. Thursday, March 10, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Josh Sosin (Duke University), Coffee/Lunch talk, “Punk Rock, Bicycles, and Ancient Documents” (Gordy 110)

Thursday, March 10, 6-7:30 p.m., Josh Sosin (Duke University), public lecture, “Slaves, Aliens, Freedmen, and Citizens: Ancient Athenian Legal Status” Porter 105. A reception and refreshments follow the lecture.

Thursday, April 14, 7:30 p.m., Timothy Williamson (Department of Philosophy, Oxford University), public lecture (Porter 103)
