The Food Studies theme has two Spring Break 2016 study abroad opportunities through the Office of Global Opportunities. Both of these programs give students unique opportunities to get hands-on experience in food systems, while earning course credit.
Food Justice in Athens
ENG 3000X: Food Justice in Athens, OH is a week-long experience that has students working in gardens, taking tours of local food businesses, and doing different service-related projects. Students will be asked to examine hunger and food accessibility in America and then grapple with different approaches to addressing this issue. Program dates are Feb. 27 to March 6.
Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis until Feb. 16. Spots are limited.
Info sessions are being held Jan. 12 and 13 at 5 p.m. in Baker 233.

Ireland: Food, Hunger and Inequality
Ireland: Food, Hunger and Inequality is a Spring Break study abroad in Ireland. Program dates are Feb. 27 to March 6. Students will earn their Junior Composition credits through this course.
