Ohio University alumni Bob Mansfield ’11 is Vice President for International Development at Mansfield & Associates, a firm that provides executive search services in the United States, Europe and Australia.
Mansfield is currently working at the firm’s Eastern Europe offices in Budapest, Hungary. He earned a B.A. in History from the College of Arts & Sciences, with a focus on European history, Russian language and international business consulting. He also converses in Hungarian, Serbian an dUkrainian.
In Hungary, Mansfield also has been named to the Fulbright Hungarian-American Commission for Educational Exchange. Fulbright is the flagship international exchange scholarship program between the United States and 166 countries, supported by the U.S. Congress and partner governments worldwide.
The Commission’s Board is a bi-national policy-making and supervisory body consisting of 10 members, five citizens of the United States and five citizens of Hungary. Members are appointed by the U.S. Ambassador to Budapest and the Hungarian Minister of Education, respectively, for two-year terms. The governments of the U.S. and Hungary are represented by two members each; the others are university professors and representatives of the private sector.
Mansfield also has served on the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary, a non-governmental, non-political and financially independent organization representing nearly 400 members in Hungary.
