The School of Visual Communication is now offering one of its most popular classes, an Introduction to Basic Photography, for non-VisCom majors.
VICO 2521 Introduction to Basic Photography
This class is designed specifically for non-majors. The objective of this class is to enable students to improve their photography skills in both technical and aesthetic modes. VICO 2521 serves as an introduction to basic digital workflow methods that lead to better photographs. Students are introduced to the history of the medium and to influential practitioners. They also learn digital printing methods and gain an understanding of visual literacy. This is a great class for students from any major who have an interest in photography and want hands-on experience.
The spring semester 2016 section meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7:20 p.m. (VICO 2521 section# 100 course #6132). For more information, contact Marlene Shostak.
