Students for Law, Justice & Culture is hosting a film series as a part of the Center for Law, Justice & Culture‘s series: Critical Resistance through Legal Activism.
The four films selected each tell stories of activism in the United States on issues of women’s suffrage, privacy, civil rights, and gay marriage.
The films will be screened in Ellis 112. All screenings will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Selma, which was nominated for Best Picture, tells the phenomenal story of Martin Luther King Jr. and civil rights activists who protested the lack of equality with a marathon civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965.
The Case Against 8
Wednesday Nov. 18
The Case Against 8 tells the story of the struggle to overturn California’s gay marriage ban, a fight that ultimately led to a Supreme Court decision in favor of gay marriage earlier this year.
