LINDON, UT — (Marketwired) — 11/11/15 — AccessData Group, a leading provider of integrated digital forensics and e-discovery software solutions and services, today announced that the company’s board of directors has appointed Keith James to the position of chief executive officer.
Mr. James, who served as executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at AccessData for the past year, has 19 years of experience in the information technology industry.
“Keith has already done an extraordinary job leading operational and strategic change at AccessData, which is one of the major reasons our company has experienced strong growth in 2015,” said Tim Leehealey, who stepped down as CEO but remains a member of AccessData’s board of directors. “He is well qualified and uniquely suited to take over as CEO and lead the company to even greater heights of success in developing outstanding products, providing world-class customer support and driving AccessData to long-term success.”
AccessData has moved swiftly in 2015 to take advantage of emerging business opportunities in the digital forensics and e-discovery software markets. In May, the company announced the sale of its Resolution1 Security business, a provider of cybersecurity solutions, in order to sharpen its focus and increase investments in its integrated forensics and e-discovery solutions. Last month AccessData announced the simultaneous launches of Summation® 6.0 and FTK® 6.0, improving interoperability between the industry’s only integrated forensics and e-discovery software platform. The new versions of the flagship products have been well received by customers, business partners and industry observers.
“I am excited to deliver high-value experiences for our clients at every touchpoint,” said Mr. James. “We will be increasing our investments in products to ensure we strengthen our leadership position by delivering cutting-edge software tools that anticipate market needs as well as incorporate requested enhancements, and by providing a high level of support to serve our customers in all markets worldwide.”
Mr. James noted that AccessData will also be making new investments in their workforce, building dynamic work environments to support their employees and attract the best talent available.
Prior to his role at AccessData, Mr. James held positions of increasingly senior leadership at LexisNexis, most recently as vice president of the company’s litigation software, hosting and professional services businesses. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Ohio University.
