The Food Studies theme presents Food for Thought with Kip Rondy on How to Tame Extractive Industries (Agriculture-Mineral-Timber) For Our Survival on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. in the Friends of the Library Room, Alden 319.
Rondy’s talk addresses personal, community and global responsibility to foster a sustainable system for the essential resources such as agriculture, minerals and timber.
Rondy and his wife, Becky, own Green Edge Gardens in Amesville, OH. Green Edge Gardens is a unique, year-round supplier of certified organic vegetables, microgreens, and mushrooms. The Rondys are active members of the Athens community and Athens Farmers Market vendors, and they are involved in food and farming activism.
