The Dogwood Bloom Reading Series continues Friday evening with readings by two English graduate students—Micah McCrary and Michelle Pretorius.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will start at 7 p.m. in Galbreath Chapel.
McCrary is a doctoral student in English and holds an MFA in Nonfiction from Columbia College Chicago. His essays, reviews, and translations have appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, MAKE, Poetry in Translation, and Third Coast.
Born and raised in South Africa, fiction writer Pretorius is pursuing her doctoral degree in Creative Writing. She also graduated from Columbia College (with an MFA in Fiction Writing) and has lived in London, New York, and the Midwest.
A student-run reading series, Dogwood Bloom showcases the work of second-year graduate students. Friday’s event will mark the second Dogwood Bloom meeting of the 2015-2016 academic year.
