Political Science Alum Profiled in America’s Beer Distributors

Ohio University alum Nick Williams ’02, 05M, “a longtime employee at a beer distribution company based in Huntington (VA), recently was profiled in America’s Beer Distributors, the publication put out by the National Beer Wholesalers Association,” reports the State Journal.

Williams, who holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from Ohio University, began his career at Triple Crown Beverage Group as a delivery helper 10 years ago. Since 2012, he has led the company as general manager and is credited with helping to grow the craft beer industry in West Virginia.

Triple Crown Beverage Group is a family of distributorships that includes Eagle Distributing in Huntington, Mingo Distributing in Williamson, Spriggs Distributing in Ironton, Ohio, and Eagle Distributing in Ashland, Kentucky. The companies trace their roots to 1934 and over the years have distributed brands including Budweiser, Bud Light, Yuengling and Fat Tire.
