Law School Dean to Teach Mock International Law Class, Oct. 27

The Center for Law, Justice & Culture hosts a Mock International Law Class taught by Case Western Reserve University School of Law Dean Michael P. Scharf on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 4-5 p.m., in Baker 231.

Scharf is the Dean and Director of Frederick K. Cox International Law Center. He is the Joseph P. Hostetler-BakerHostetler Professor of Law at the Case Western Reserve University Law School. He teaches International Law, International Criminal Law, the Law of International Organizations, and the War Crimes Research Lab at Case Western.

Scharf earned a J.D. from Duke University in 1988. During the elder Bush and Clinton administrations, Scharf served in the Office of the Legal Adviser of the U.S. Department of State, where he held the positions of Attorney-Adviser for Law Enforcement and Intelligence, Attorney-Adviser for United Nations Affairs, and delegate to the United Nations Human Rights Commission. He served as a Special Assistant to the Prosecutor of the Cambodia Genocide Tribunal in 2008.

He also hosts a “Talking Foreign Policy” radio program on Cleveland’s NPR Stations (WCPN 90.3 FM).
