The Mathematical Biology Seminar series presents Ying Xin, Department of Mathematics at Ohio University on “Subadditivity may fail in differentiable flows” on Tuesday, Sept 22, at 5:10 p.m. in Morton 223.
Abstract: This is a continuation of last week’s talk where definitions of topological entropy in terms of separation numbers and spanning numbers were introduced. Here we present two constructions of differentiable one-dimensional flows where the logarithms of the separation numbers and spanning numbers are not subadditive.
