One common misconception that I hear from students time and time again is to seek help after they have started to struggle in a class. However, by that point, it may already be too late!
Just because you may not be struggling now doesn’t mean that you won’t be struggling later. And wouldn’t it be better to understand your course content more fully even if you feel that you aren’t having trouble?
Asking for help doesn’t mean that you can’t do the work. It just means that you want to engage in your education more.
That is why I want to encourage all of you to seek help now—whether that means to SI sessions, visiting the Math and Science center, scheduling sessions with a tutor, going to the writing center, etc.
We’re here to help!
