Some significant changes have been made to the Provost Undergraduate Research Fund guidelines.
These small awards of up to $1,500 fund research and creative activity conducted by undergraduates.
Some important changes include:
- The program is now administered through the Research Division.
- Funds are available for one year unless an extension is requested and granted.
- Funds are accessed through a university internal award account.
- Formatting requirements and page limits for the proposal narrative have changed.
- Applications must include a faculty mentor’s endorsement letter.
- An optional appendix is allowed for letters of collaboration or financial support only.
- Proposals must be submitted as a single electronic copy (PDF).
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2015.
Workshops on How to Write a Competitive PURF proposal are:
- Sept. 1 from 4 to 5 p.m. in 301U Alden Library
- Sept. 2 from 11 a.m. to noon in 301U Alden Library (repeat session)
