A College of Arts & Sciences alum is among the three new board members announced by the Ohio University Alumni Association.
The three new board members are Central Ohioan Bryon H. Carley, New Philadelphia native Kyle W. Triplett, and Julia B. Righter from Columbus. They began their terms on July 1. The OUAA Board of Directors is composed of 28 OHIO graduates who uphold the association’s mission to connect, inform, serve and engage alumni with their alma mater.

Triplett earned his bachelor of arts in Political Science from Ohio University in 2012. As an undergraduate, Triplett served on the Ohio University Board of Trustees as a student trustee and was a prominent member of the Ohio University Budget Planning Council. He also served as the president of the Ohio University Student Senate during his senior year.
As an alumnus, Triplett serves on the Ohio University Student Senate Alumni Society board. He continues to advocate for OHIO Student Senate through mentoring, fundraising and event planning for the organization. Since 2012, Triplett has quickly risen in the ranks of Olympic Steel, Inc., and is now the Divisional Purchasing Manager at the Cleveland Division.
“I could think of no better way to give back to the University that gave so much to me than by being a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors,” Triplett said. “I hope to bring the perspective of recent alumni to the Board, and I want to work with current students to see how the Alumni Association can better serve them, especially as they enter into the professional world.”
