Ohio University President Roderick J. McDavis announced that Dr. Jenny Hall-Jones, Ohio University’s Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, will serve as Interim Vice President for Student Affairs, effective July 1, until the successful conclusion of a national search for the next Vice President of Student Affairs.
Hall-Jones ’95, ’97M, ’11Ph.D. is an Ohio University alum who earned a B.A. in Sociology-Criminology from the College of Arts & Sciences, followed by a Master of Education in College Student Personnel and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the Patton College of Education.
“It is important to have someone with both vast knowledge of Ohio University and genuine affection for our students serve as our Interim Vice President. By this standard, Jenny Hall-Jones is highly qualified to oversee the safety, well-being, and success of students in our Bobcat community,” McDavis said.
Hall-Jones has been an administrator for Ohio University for 19 years. “We are very fortunate to have her high level of Bobcat experience and strong leadership to help ease the transition when Dr. Ryan Lombardi departs,” said McDavis. “I am in the process of appointing members to the Search Committee for our new Vice President for Student Affairs. The Search Committee will be chaired by Dr. Pam Benoit, Executive Vice President and Provost. More information will be shared once the search process has commenced.”
