Faculty and staff are invited to a retirement reception for Vicki Butcher, Executive Assistant for the College of Arts & Sciences, on Thursday, April 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the 1804 Lounge in Baker University Center.
“Vicki has been a dedicated Ohio University employee for 25 years and will be sorely missed,” says Dean Robert Frank. “The college is hosting a reception to recognize Vicki’s many contributions and to wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter of her life.” Butcher is retiring in June.
Butcher has been working in the College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office for 25 years, starting out as a part-time clerk typist and rising to executive assistant. Butcher coordinates college curriculum processes and the College Curriculum Committee and other college-level committees. She also provides classroom scheduling support and manages college-level graduate program processes.
“This office has given me so many opportunities to grow and take on more and more responsibility,” Butcher says. “I’ve been blessed to be here.”
