For more than 55 years, Ohio University’s Distinguished Professor lecture has been a hallmark celebration of an honored faculty member’s outstanding scholarly and creative accomplishments, so it is no surprise that even Old Man Winter couldn’t derail plans to commend the 2014 Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Dr. Christopher France.
The Ohio University community is invited to attend this year’s rescheduled Distinguished Professor reception and lecture, which was canceled due to severe winter weather on Feb. 18.
The event, which honors and celebrates the highest permanent recognition attainable by faculty at Ohio University, is rescheduled for Tuesday, March 10, in Baker Ballroom A. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., and France’s lecture on “Rolling up Our Sleeves: Working to Prepare Blood Donors for a Lifetime of Giving” begins at 7 p.m.
