Ohio University alum Dr. Mark Knable has joined OhioHealth in Athens, reports the Logan Daily.
Knable earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences Pre-Medicine from the College of Arts & Sciences and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University.
ATHENS — With more than 20 years of expertise in orthopedics, Mark Knable, DO, returned to Athens on March 2 to join the OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital Athens Medical Associates (AMA) Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice.
Dr. Knable specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of non-operative and operative orthopedic conditions, arthroscopic surgery, hand and foot surgery, as well as total joint arthroplasty. He has previously held a number of positions at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital and in the community.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Mark Knable to our team,” said Mark Rothstein, MD, senior vice president at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital and executive director of AMA. “Expanding our practice to include Dr. Knable helps us to further our goal to create comprehensive orthopedic care center so that people in our community can receive advanced orthopedic care right here in Athens.”
Prior to joining AMA Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Knable practiced at Sentara Albemarle Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
