The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette featured Ohio University alum Margery McCready ’04 in a story on “Oakmont Library display fulfills Verona artist’s lifelong goal.”
McCready earned a B.A. in Psychology from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University. “Now employed as a health care worker for UPMC Chapel Harbor, Ms. McCready devotes on average 20 hours a week to making art,” reports the Post-Gazette.
Like many children, Margery McCready liked to color between the lines of coloring books. That early pastime developed into a true love of drawing.
Now, the Verona artist is fulfilling one of her lifelong goals with her first art show. In an exhibit of 21 of her works at the Oakmont Carnegie Library through Dec. 1. Ms. McCready included four pieces she completed while attending Fox Chapel Area High School along with recent drawings done in black and colored pencil and watercolors.
